Jeffreys Bay
Yep, we have made it to the famous Jeffreys Bay. I know we were up here last Saturday to watch the contest (look at my previous blogs) but this time we are here to stay. Ten days in the famous Jeffreys Bay and we have got off to a great start with some perfect waves right out in front of the backpackers.
We have two new member in the group who are here doing the TTRide surf camp and they have fitted into the group easily. Jeffreys Bay really is all about surfing (and a little bit of clothes shopping at the factory stores) and with our backpackers being situated right on the beach in front of several great waves things couldn't be set up better. This is the group's first experience of a point and a reef break, which means rocks! Whilst this is intimidating they have adapted really well and have had some really good rides. Whilst in Jeffreys Bay we will play with lion cubs, help out in the townships and surf non-stop! We have an epic swell arriving in the next two days and the famous Supertubes should be doing its thing. I can't wait!
