Trip Timeline

Here you'll find a day by day breakdown of your course.

  • Arrival in Bordeaux

After your arrival into Bordeaux you will be transferred to your first camp site in Mimizan to meet the rest of your fellow Riders and get an evening surf in. The following day will be spent surfing and lapping up the SW France vibes.

  • Mimizan to Hossegor

50 miles - Wake up surf, cycle all day, chilled camp vibes in the evening. 50 miles may sound like a long slog but it's a flat route along a cycle path through the start of the beautiful Landes region of SW France and should take around 5 hours including the lunch break.

  • Hossegor to Hendaye

40 miles - Here we will go inland slightly and take on our first inclines of the trip, but you will still be breathing in the fresh sea air mixed in with the pine trees for most of the day. The journey will take a leisurely 4-5 hours. Upon arrival in Hendaye we will surf til sunset.

  • Hendaye to Zarautz

30 miles (hard) - After cycling through some of the most beautiful French and Spanish towns you can ever imagine and a short tapas stop in San Sebastian we arrive into Zarautz. 30 miles may not sound like a lot but climbing the mountain out of San Sebastian alone will take almost an hour. We will have time to surf the waves on the extremely long beach, or just take in the epic views from the camp site. We will spend two night in our temporary basecamp to maximise our surfing on this great beach.

  • Zarautz to Lekeitio

30 miles (hard ride) - we up the ante here as we take on a few more mountains and cruise along some of the most undulating roads in the continent, with the pinnicle being the last mountain on which the campsite sits. If anyone makes it up this without pushing the bike we will be very impressed.

Make sure you have seconds of the porridge...

  • Lekietio to Bilbao

33 Miles (very hard ride) - The crescendo is grueling but worth the effort. We will take on a 13km incline to the beautiful town of Larrabetzu, a popular spot for Camino De Santiago hikers, where we will stop for lunch. It is around 1-2 hours from here til we arrive into Bilbao where we will enjoy a final night of rich Spanish cuisine and World-class red wine in Bilbao. When in Rome!

  • Final Day

Transfers - Sadly all good things must come to an end, but you will need to stop after this epic surf and cycle adventure. We aim to have a morning surf and will be running transfers to Bilbao airport all day.
