This is it guys, the moment you have been waiting for. We are going to use that same great simple explanation and expertise that we are so well known for on our trips to bring you some great surfing trick tips.
This has been kick started by our trip leaders, former WQS surfer Klee Strachan and former WCT surfer Nikita Robb. Who better to bring you the action than top surfers who have since dedicated their time to coaching both with Ticket to Ride and outside of that realm to the top South African juniors.
There are of course many different ways of teaching a manouevre, and some ways work better from some people than others, so if there is anything you are struggling with please comment below and we would be happy to help out and assist with!
One of the favourite saying for any surf coach is "to do a good top turn you have to have done a good bottom turn" and how right that is! It is one of the most important things in surfing if you really want to push your surfing and get it to the next level! You watch someone like Kelly Slater whost hand to elbow almost touch each time he does a forehand bottom turn and then ask yourself where you are with yours right now? Without further adieu here is Klee and Nikita's simple guide to the bottom turn.
An extra tip is to touch the water with your hand to make sure you are nice and low and to help you pivot!
