Obviously if you are heading to a ski resort, it is likely that skiing is at the forefront of your mind. But in reality plenty of people head to the Alps and Meribel each winter and don’t ski. Meribel has many alternative activities and amenities to cater for all. Head out for an evening ten pin bowling, spend a snow day in the spa, or take up a new sport such as cross country skiing or climbing.

You can also join in with your skiing friends in various ways. There are some lovely walking tracks around Meribel where you can intertwine with the pistes and meet skiers for lunch at beautiful mountain restaurants. Essentially you can still enjoy being in the beautiful mountains without hurling yourself down them at 50 mph!
