Day one of our favourite surf contest of the year went down with perfect waves running down the point at Jeffreys Bay South Africa.
For the first time, it is not just friends of ticket to ride competing, we have one of our current trip leaders Klee Strachan flying the ticket to ride flag competing in the event. Having floated his way through his heat yesterday, Klee was taken down this morning. Atleast this means he will be fresh and ready for the start of the trip.
Our African Road trip heads out of Heathrow this evening landing in Cape Town first thing in the morning.
This is prime swell season in South Africa – we as ever super excited to have another trip in the tube!
