Kelly Slater put on one of the best performances the TTRide Team and Surf viewers around the world has ever seen on the final day at the Volcom Fiji Pro 2013.
In pumping 6-8ft barrels at Cloudbreak, Slater managed to score a perfect '20' point score against Sebastian Zeitz in the Quarter Finals and then onto a victory over the wonder kid that is Jon Jon Florence in the Semi Finals. We all have to remember that there has only now been four perfect heat scores of 20 in ASP history….two of them being Slaters.
The final match up was against a hungry Mick Fanning wanting to claw his way to the top of the ASP World Rankings leading into the next event in Bali. Although Fanning put on a good performance, he was no match to an 'in the zone' Kelly Slater scoring another near perfect 19.80 out of 20.
Slater is now back on familiar turf on top of the ASP World Rankings…… Ke12y in 2013?
