Anstey’s Backpackers is owned by South African surf Legend Rudi Palmboom. Rudi was one of the original chargers at Cave Rock and has made a reputation for himself as a fearless surfer who will take on anything the ocean can throw at him; he still receives a regular invite to the Big Wave Africa event held each year at Dungeon’s. Rudi is one of the most laid-back characters that we will meet on our trip and his passion for the beach and for the surf will be an inspiration as we begin the courses.
Anstey’s is a short drive or taxi from the City Centre and is an ideal location to take advantage of the quality waves and the other attractions offered by a cosmopolitan city. There are several good nightspots that are easily reached and perfect for post course partying. There will also be a chance to get involved in some other activities such as paintballing.
