Redbull released an awesome film back in November 2016, which we feel sums up pretty well a lot of what we do here at Ticket To Ride. It details the story of a group of extraordinary female skiers and surfers on a epic global tour. Led by filmmaker Sandra Lahnsteiner, they celebrate both the thrilling journey, as they ride in epic locations, and the meaningful moments in between.
There’s no doubt that female adventurers are getting recognised more and more on the global stage for being hardcore and great at what they do, and not just a pretty face. However, I still feel there is a little way to go to be on an equal footing with guys. We run our Girls’ Ski & Snowboard Camps in Meribel each year, to further the progression and confidence of women in a male-dominated sport. There are some great role models such as Jenny Jones and Corinne Mayhew, both of whom we are lucky enough to have joining us on these weeks. I would definitely recommend this film to anyone to inspire, motivate and just because it showcases some of the most stunning locations in the world!
This film features a wide range of influential female pro skiers and surfers such as Carissa Moore, Janina Kuzma, Julia Manuso, Matilda Rapaport and Nadine Wallner in some of the worlds most renowned spots in Hawaii, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Alaska.

This film highlights the strength and courage these women have, and the positive image they convey to inspire young women surfers and skiers all around the world to not follow the generic stereotypes.
