Given my susceptibility to bad grammar, typo’s and simple misspelling, I intend to keep this update brief. I have just landed in Hong Kong International Airport and am once again in the departure lounge ready to fly down to Bali to catch up with our current Ticket to Ride Indonesian Adventure.
I was last in Indonesia in 2004 and like just about every other surf traveller, absolutely loved it.
Everyone in the Ticket to Ride office has been to Indo at some stage of their surfing journeys, all of us flocking to the lure of perfect waves, warm water not to mention unique landscape and culture.
Ticket to Ride Indonesia has been a long time in the planning, we are stoked to be operating here, because when it comes to a worldwide surfing adventure, they don’t come much better than Indo.
This current trip is a 4 weeker. 2 weeks in Bali, and the 2 weeks island hopping between Lombok and Nusa Lembongan.
Chris Bond has flown in from South Africa to run this, as our longest standing trip leader, I don’t think Chris would have allowed it any other way. Flying in early to catch a massive Padang swell, Chris is know his way in and importantly out of an Indo barrel.
I have got 10 days with this crew, and although I have missed a night’s sleep and am feeling a little out of sync time wise, I cannot wait to get down to Bali and into the waves. One night there and then it is over to Lombok!
