I would like to think of this blog as more of a photo gallery than a written blog. Chinsta, just outside East London was a great week and we had loads of fun times there. We did so many things, from playing with lion cubs to swimming loads, getting to touch an elephant and getting to surf our biggest waves of the trip so far, that I thought the pics would really do it all justice better than the writing.

What I can tell you though is that the place we were staying is hidden in some bushes overlooking a lagoon and the beach. We did a lot of surfing from there but the rest of the time we drove in to east london looking for waves in amongst its many beaches, points and reefs. We got epic Nahoon reef where the guys really upped their game and surfed the biggest waves of the trip so far.

We also did a lot of swimming in East London in preparation for the lifesaving course at the end of the trip. The reward after the swimming session was usually East London's best and amazing Friesland's milkshakes. Always a highlight of my trips to East London!

Playing with the lion cubs was just too special and everyone really enjoyed it, even if we had scars to show!

Coffee Bay was the next stop and the most peaceful stop on the trip, properly in the bush and far removed from any big towns.

Enjoy the pics,

Chris
