Day one of the 7th ASP event of the year at the Hurley Pro Lower Trestles is done and dusted. This one is always a good one to look forward to as the worlds best are given a perfect canvas to show off their skills with the wave offering the oppertunity for huge turns and good sections to take to the skies!
The Heat of the Day went to Heat 11 which saw Julian Wilson advance staright through to Round 3 against Jon Jon Florence and Miguel Pupo. All 3 Surfers took turns to wow the crowd especiially with Miguel Pupo pulling off a huge grab rail air reverse landing him a 9.33!
