ISA Level 1 Qualification

Surfing South Africa (SSA) run the International Surfing Association (ISA) courses to get you internationally qualified to teach entry level surfing across the world.

The ISA is recognised as the world's governing authority for surfing. The ISA run surf coaching courses as well as the judging courses which are used by the ASP judges and hold the ISA world surfing championships in three seperate events, from the Juniors right through to the masters. 

The ISA works in conjunction with the governing bodies of 69 countries, including South Africa, meaning that it is by far the most internationally recognised and respected surf coaching course. To be a fully qualified surf instructor you do also need to have done an approved Beach Lifeguard award which Ticket to Ride also offer on our courses.
