Ahhhh Sri Lanka, the Indian Ocean’s Jewel of the Crown, the beautifully fragile country with more culture than Boy George and more empty waves than Kelly Slater’s wave pool.

Our 2016 Coast to Coast Surf Adventure was the best trip to Ceylon yet, with warm welcomes from all the locals and empty line-ups leaving everyone wanting more. The final day saw literally every one of 20 riders surf a reef break that we had to ourselves, followed by what can only be described as the best BBQ imaginable, truly ending things on a high.

It’s probably best to summarise the trip using a collection of nouns with supporting adjectives backed up by photos of the experience. No marketing bumf, just the facts.
We’re talking invigorating sun-rises and breath-taking sunsets, playful waves breaking over empty reef breaks shadowed by beautiful tropical backdrops, epic food washed down with cold beers, friendly locals, super friendly puppies, soothing yoga, swaying palm trees, massive coconuts, wild crocodiles, elephants, leopards!! And Timon and Pumba animals. Lots of true legends and simply really, really good vibes.

It’s been a serious pleasure to be a part of and everyone on the trip ripped. Hope to see you all next year, one the two week surf camp, three week coast to coast adventure or full four week Sri Lanka tour!
