I always love going to Island Vibe backpackers in Jbay; as you step foot into the premises you know you're with family! The atmosphere is exciting, welcoming and brings a senses of adventure. The Backpackers looks over the ocean giving us two very fun surf spots right at our doorstep, Phantoms, a right-point, and Kitchen Windows a left and right giving the groups the variety and opportunity to really step up there surfing and really learn to ride open face waves and learn to read the ocean.

While we have been in Jbay, we scored some really good waves. Supertubes was pretty much at its best; and Klee and I managed to get some really good waves while the group filmed and took some pictures of us as it was a bit big for them.

There are many other activities that we do when we are in jbay other than just surf. The lion park is so exciting, we can drive through the park and see wild animals such as giraffe, buffalo, springbuck, zebra and many more. Then we can drive into an enclosed area with three huge female lions. It really gets the heart rate going knowing that there is a huge female lioness that could jump on your car at any moment. One did even try have a nibble of our tyre. That’s when I thought it would be best to keep on moving where the guys got to play with a couple of baby tigers and lions, super super cute.

We also went sandboarding, Jack was amazing and Gill had a good couple of falls but still managed to get one or two rides. I had a few runs but wasn’t ever good and falling on sand isn’t as nice as falling in water.

One of my all time favorite things to do is fill the cooler box with a couple of drinks and snacks and head out to the zip line for an afternoon of laughs and adventure. Everyone had a couple of runs including Gill and I “trying “ to go down together which was an epic fail but fun none the less.

To end Jbay off we always have an amazing goodbye party from island vibe, where we played some pool had a few cocktails combined with some memories never to be forgotten. Jeffreys Bay, home of the world's best righthand pointbreak, certainly lived up to its expectations.
