Live Your Dreams

So I’m sure you, like myself and probably everybody who has ever joined us on a trip anywhere in the world, have this burning desire to do something exceptional? When you close your eyes at night, day dream at your desk or stare blankly out of a car window soundtracking your thoughts to the radio/MP3, there’s a place you go to, a place you long for, a place you shouldn’t waste any time getting to.

How many things have you promised yourself you’d get around to doing but then life got away from you and you compromised on your dream a bit? I just wanted to remind you to live your dreams, because the people with me now in the beautiful Mozambique, like you, started out with that same desire. It’s a great place to be in life, from liking posts on Instagram and Facebook thinking ‘what if?’ to being the person behind the lens and writing the post.

Back to us and Mozambique though, from dreams to reality for all. I don’t think we’d ever get bored of waking up to sunrises like this, the icing on the cake that is the incredible point break here in Tofinho, our home for 2 weeks. This is how we start our daily routine in Mozambique.

Remember as well that dreams aren’t always these grand ideas, small ambitions are often equally as rewarding. For most of the guys with me now who have also spent 10 weeks with me travelling and surfing in South Africa learning to surf was one of those dreams and now here we are in Tofo, Mozambique sharing waves in a tropical paradise living the dream that is surf travel.

Our trip here is based around surfing and we’ve been very fortunate so far waves wise, often being in the water twice a day in long sessions, the warm water and balmy weather make it comfortable spending hours on end in the crystal clear water. The waves here are very tide dependent and on the low we’ll be found on the world class Tofinho Point break, on the high we’ll be searching the long stretch of Tofo Beach for the best sand bank to surf on and in between we’ll be resting and trying out the local cuisine and culture.

The people in Mozambique are some of the finest, the energy and lust for life here is incredible and the locals are very inquisitive about our interests in this small region. Life here is dependent on the ocean and the love, respect and appreciation for it draws people from all over.

We’ve been here for just over a week now and have already enjoyed so much, with so much more to come I look forward to keeping you updated on our travels. I hope that what ever you’re working towards and whatever your ambitions are, that your endeavours reap the reward you seek and you, like us, get to live your dreams, however big or small.

While we enjoy sunsets like this here in Mozambique I hope you’re planning your trip somewhere with the hope of experiencing something similar.

Till next time, shakka’s 🙂
