In tha back half of our week in Lombok we turned our focus to surfing some of the other waves on the island. Outside rights was easily the biggest that we had surfed on the trip, and for some the biggest of their lives. After getting cleaned up by some big sets we moved closer in to actually do some surfing. With some solid swell around one of the lesser-surfed spots was also good, and we spent our time mixing it up to work on surfing rights, lefts, big and small waves.
Our surf guides on Lombok are some of the most amazing humans around. Always smiling and loving life both in the water and out. Their laughter and chatter can be heard across the lineup, and everyone always felt happy and comfortable in their presence. They would come and relax with us on land too, and Anton even invited some of the guys back to his house to play Fifa and have coffee with him and his family. Meeting the locals and getting a glimpse into their lives is a big part of what travelling is all about. Take a look through the photos to see more.
