Fresh off winning his 50th WCT title Kelly Slater and the rest of the pro surf travelling elite, kick off the European leg of the world tour this Friday with the Quiksilver Pro down here in Hossegor France.
I have been down here for a week already for a family break. Having been down here before, I knew what I was in for, however having been fortunate with the surf conditions as well as some great weather, I have been blown away by what Hossegor and the French way of life has to offer.
As I keep saying to Lottie…
"they know how to live down here."
With so many surf camps offering the European surfing/beach lifestyle experiences, it is only a matter of time before Ticket to Ride Surf Breaks finds its niche and brings out some kind of surfing experience down here.
My trip down to Hossegor has been all about getting back to basics, living on the beach, spending quality time with my young family (Oscar was one yesterday) and getting plenty of world class waves while I am at it.
The waiting period for this year's quiky pro france, starts on Friday. The event site is almost complete, there is definatelya buzz in the air!
Here is a taster of what we are waiting for…
