Hello and welcome to our first blog on the January 2014 trip to sunny South Africa. Well the good new is that everyone has arrived safely without any delays, and the great news is that we got to go straight in the water for the first surf lesson on the day of arrival. This seldom happens because of flight times so everyone was stoked (surfer slang for happy).
The lesson went really well, and a lot of the group had done quite a bit of surfing before so the perfect 1 meter waves at Muizenberg were ideal for everyone on their longboards. There is nothing better than getting off a flight and heading straight into the water!
After the surf we had a great welcome braai for the group and feasted after a good long day.
