There are several things inspiring this blog, but none more so than the amazing waves we have been having to kick off 2013 and the exciting prospect of another amazing TTRide adventure starting in one week! Summer is not known as the time for waves in South Africa, but that hasn't stopped it one bit! There have been waves from up the West Coast all the way around to Jeffreys Bay, and by waves I mean GOOD waves!
We have an exciting year ahead for Ticket to Ride, with great trips running in South Africa and Mozambique starting in January, July and September, and then of course our new addition, the Indonesia trip! The September 2012 was a great success, with awesome waves and a great group. The new team of ex-professional surfers Nikita Robb and Klee Strachan running the trips is working great, and if improving your surfing and travelling is what you want to do then this is definitely the trip for you!
The uniqueness of our Ticket to Ride trips really is unparalelled, and I know that because I know how hard everyone works to make sure these trips are amazing, from the Directors that started Ticket to Ride to the rest of the crew in the office to the team on the ground in South Africa. And I guess that positive energy is transferred as rider after rider refer to the trip as "the best 3 months of my life".
It is those very reactions that keep inspiring us to make the trips as good as we possible can!
