One of the most special days of the trip is the day we got to go swimming with the manta rays. Partly because you never know what you are going to see, if anything at all. You have to go when there is really small swell it is a fun 40-minute boat ride to another island where the mantas tend to ‘hang out’.I must say that I really can’t explain or begin to describe the experience of swimming with these creatures. They are not dangerous at all, yet when they come close you definitely feel your heart beating fast. The ‘wingspan’ of the bigger ones is easily around 2m and despite looking like they are barely moving they swim by at a rapid pace. Quotes like “that is the most amazing thing I have ever done and seen” were flying around the boat like wildfire. After the manta rays and as the adrenaline and excitement wore off we headed into a perfect little bay to see the most amazing coral and a life full of fishes.I hope you enjoy the photos!Chris
