Its crazy how time flies when you’re having fun, the feeling of the trip slowly coming to an end has finally dawned on everyone. The re caps of the trip are consistently being had. It truly has been an incredible trip, as my own personal first trip I couldn’t have been happier with this group.

Moving from Coffee bay to Durban was a strange transition going from the rawness of Coffee Bay to big city living. With the move came so many exciting activities, the big one being ordering new boards. We got into Claytons factory really early in our stay in Durban, so everyone could get a chance to actually ride their new boards. Designing sprays is the next step of excitement, everyone with there unique touch.

From having some solid waves in East London and Coffee bay, Durban has produced the goods. Conditions have been perfect. Typical beautiful hot summer days in board shorts and bikini’s surfing all day, coming in only for food then straight back out. Happiness is an understatement.

When the waves aren’t playing there part, the group got to rejuvenate while chilling by the pool all day, playing games, reading or just working on our tans.

With all the fun and games there is a serious part to the trip, where the guys can get the opportunity to get an accreditation to become a surf coach. While half the group were at ‘school’ the other half got to play adventure golf before they had to head into the class room.  The ISA level  1, is a great starting block for there gap year students. They can then get the opportunity to move on from the trip and go and earn some money being a coach any where in the world.

A lot of excitement is building up for the safari as well as the flow rider, which we will do at the final stop…
