Wow is all I can say, the group have been so ridiculously lucky in J-Bay! I don’t know what good karma they’ve earned, but 10 out of the 12 days they were there they scored! I was fortunate to go and join the group for a day or two and see how they are getting on, and it was brilliant to see smiles and happy faces all around. Then after hearing about the waves they had been getting it all made perfect sense. Throw in South African National coach Etienne Venter, and ever amped and energised trip leader and coach Jarred Veldhuis and Luke always either on the beach filming or in the water too, and it was the recipe for success. These photos were from the last day of their stay in J-Bay, and I got two surfs in with the group too so it is by no means a reflection of everyone’s waves, just a few snaps I took. Oh, and they spent an hour and a half with guru shaper Mikey Meyer as well as going to the waterfall and loads of the group had three surfs. Just a typical day, I was blown away!
They did plenty more in Jeffreys Bay than surf and Luke will post soon with a full update, but just couldn’t resist sharing some of the shots I got!
