Early season optimism is something that those of us in the industry can be guilty of over egging, and for the past four years or so it has been difficult to genuinely be excited about the snow conditions with any form of credibility.<\/p>\n

For the past few years warm conditions have meant that any snow that has fallen has not stuck around, and with it many folk have lost faith in the benefit of an early season voyage. Tartiflette at altitude is all well and good, but if there\u2019s no slopes to bomb around and burn it off the joys are somewhat diminished.<\/p>\n

However, this year us industry folk can be excused our genuine cheers. I arrived in Meribel<\/a> last night, greeted by snow on the ground in Geneva, a snow covering for most of the journey, snow up the entire Meribel valley, white roads, the trees are layered up and to make it all the more sweet the weather conditions are a solid snow maintaining -5c, and as if that wasn\u2019t enough there\u2019s 30cm of snow forecast for Thursday, plus additional snowfall on Wednesday and Friday.<\/p>\n

This early season snowfall is very much real, and is exactly what the industry has needed to restore the faith of those booking a early season get a way!<\/p>\n

Needless to say we have some last minute accommodation available at our flagship chalets Les Matines<\/a>, and Chalet L\u2019Arclusaz <\/a>(which is an absolute belter), we also have New Years available at the latter.<\/p>\n

So for those of you powder hounds who have been holding onto your horses, and putting your early season reservations in the hands of the almighty snow gods, your time has come. The skies have delivered, the weather systems are set, and those bounty hunters who have committed to a trip alp-side will not be leaving disappointed.<\/p>\n
