All the guys have settled really well into the Pura Vida (pure life) lifestyle, are enjoying the 6am sunrise surfs, yoga sessions, surf lessons with Elijah and Jon and are eating their way around Santa Teresa in search of the best Cosado – the local dish of Steak/ Chicken or Fish, mountains of Veg, Yuca fries, Black Beans, Salad and Rice for $5.
Everyone’s surfing is coming nicely on at their own pace. Jamie’s original goal for the month of getting a picture of himself riding a green wave has been smashed already, the yoga sessions have started to build the upper-body strength for Lee’s pop-ups, which she almost has nailed and Ange has ridden more left-handers than Elijah has had Cosados, so we are working on her backhand surfing this weekend.

After surfing a quieter beach of Hermosa a couple of km away, which has a real fun, long right hander yesterday, we went out for a farewell meal at the best Mexican in town, so see Joanna off. We had a couple of cervesa’s and laughs, but kept it chilled as the dawnie surf was in the back of everyone’s mind. Jo’s surfing improved vastly in two weeks and is looking to get a custom Quiver surfboard when she gets home, making the most of the exclusive Ticket To Ride 10% discount. We’ve got our first Spanish Lesson tomorrow, so hopefully we’ll all be able to coin a few sentences together soon and then are off to zip wire through the jungle into a waterfall on Sunday, so will let you know how it goes…
