This will be my final blog as we have come to the end of our 6 week journey in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Having seen the guys off on Tuesday as the majority make their journey homeward bound and a few others are lucky enough to continue their journey to the Caribbean coast for another 2 weeks.

This will be my final blog as we have come to the end of our 6 week journey in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Having seen the guys off on Tuesday as the majority make their journey homeward bound and a few others are lucky enough to continue their journey to the Caribbean coast for another 2 weeks.
Looking back over the final week we have had so much fun the Sports Fishing trip was amazing and we caught plenty of fish so much in fact after when we returned and it was filleted right in front of us we had over 20kg of fillet alone. Needless to say we eat well that night for our final BBQ at the Funky Monkey which has been the base for all TTR riders since their arrival.
The guys opted for a shopping trip to Montezuma a small town which has firmly held onto its Costa Rican roots and seems set back in time, stalls line the streets and you can buy many handmade items such as jewellery and clothes, this was the perfect place to chill out and buy those last minute presents for those awaiting them at home.
Saturday night was our last party night as we visited Coco Loco a drinking bar and nightclub that bangs out tunes well into the early hours of the morning, looking just outside you can see the waves crashing right onto the beach. A fantastic night was had by all as we danced the night away.
In between all of this the guys have been finishing off their Spanish, Yoga and of course the usual fix of surfing lessons and lots of free surfs, making the most of their time out here. Taking advantage of the warm water and consistent waves on their doorstep. But as with any good thing it all must regrettably come to an end and what better way to do that then to do it where it all started at the beautiful “Rock a Mar” a fantastic beachside restaurant serving up delicious cocktails and serving BBQ delights to the sounds of chilled Ibiza classics. But probably the highlight is watching the last sunset over the Pacific Ocean and the amazing colours that take over the sky…. Truly breath taking.
I for one have had an amazing time out here with my family and I know Amber and most definitely Charlie have too. And I was sad to see the group leave but happy in the knowledge that I had just made some friends for life, and I would personally like to thank everyone of the group for making my time here a fantastic experience. You all bought something to the table and the group bonded amazingly well. So Pura Vida to you all and I look forward to seeing you in not so warm waters, but a truly beautiful place which is Perranporth at TTR surf academy in the future.
So as for us we got one more week left so what I am going to do……………..
Well rumour has it that there is a new swell on its way and its going to be pumping.………Sorted.
