We’ve sadly come to the end of our first #ttridecostarica trip for the 2017 season, which was a little different from the rest as we collaborated with Pro Surfer Alan Stokes and Yogi Guru Philly Lewis of Wild and Free Adventures, as well as Wavelength Surf Magazine.
I hear you shouting: “A Surf Tour operator teaming up with another Surf Tour operator and an international surf magazine, are you crazy?” and you know what, maybe we are, we do like to spice things up a bit on Ticket to Ride Trips and the collaboration of this holy trinity made for an extra special trip indeed.
Santa Teresa in Costa Rica is an incredibly aesthetically pleasing place, boasting visual stimulation at every blink of an eye. The waves are perfect, the beaches unspoilt, the sunrises magically calming and the sunsets enchanting, even the crazy dusty roads that you painstakingly bounce along for hours to get to town have a Wild West natural beauty about them. And let’s not even start on the people.
So let me just say a massive GRACIAS to beautiful Costa Rica and your attractive inhabitants for being so special and laying the foundations for an epic surf trip, but this isn’t what made the trip special, no, it’s you guys and the vibes that grew organically over the ten days.
George, thank you for being a decent, honest, man. No doubt a great father and husband and all round genuine legend.
Aisha, thank you for being as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside.
Sam, thank you for so being the butt of a social media joke so happily. Also, for being so full of enthusiasm and stoke, keep it up amigo.
Maria, you have a unique energy that is a gift. Thank you for your smiles and shared enjoyment of all things delicious.
Matt, thank you for supporting Liverpool. Ha ha, and also for the chilled vibes, decent conversations and teaching Lewis and I to use chopsticks properly.
Mandy thank you for being one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met.
Mike, thank you for your infectious laugh (and for being up for a beer at any time)
Philly, thank you for being such a great host and incredible yoga teacher.
