Hello all, we have moved on up to Jeffreys Bay from the beautiful Plett. Jeffreys Bay is home to the world's best right-hand pointbreak and people come from around the world hoping to get some of its magic. It is also home to Billabong South Africa and briefly becomes home to the world's best surfers when they come to compete here in the Billabong Pro. ??In the last few days in Plett we went to the Cat Sanctuary where we got to see leopard, caracal, cheetahs, cerval and several other of South Africa's wild cats.

They are truly beautiful creatures yet exciting given that they could kill you in one foul swoop (or rather swipe of a claw!). ??We had cooking waves in Plett on the whole, with surf every single day and light winds the entire time. Everyone's surfing really improved and the girls impressed most when they all went out the back and caught some unbroken waves on a solid three foot day. To give the boys credit where it is due they were taking off on some solid waves despite crazy wipeouts and when it was closing out they were still going for it. ??

The highlight for the week however must surely be the bungy jump! At 216m it is the highest bridge bungy in the world and is one of the most scary things you will ever do in your life (if you do it). Earlier in the week no less than four of the group (Steve, Johnny, Fede and Caroline) said they were not doing the bungy. I conned Steve into doing it but the other three decided they would just walk across and watch the group. Before they knew it they were all convinced and everyone jumped off the bridge.

There were some tears, hugs and plenty high-5's as people were happy to have survived. Well done to all!??We have been really lucky up in J-Bay so far and perfect little 2-foot waves breaking at Kitchen Windows and Phantoms right out in front of the Backpackers. The backpackers is a really great place with a good atmosphere and a fun bar, whrere we celebrated Sam's birthfday on Monday night. I will tell you more about what we have been up to in J-Bay in the next blog.??Check back on Friday for the latest news on our trip, or keep checking daily to see what Bevan has been up to on Trip 2 or Pete over in Costa Rica. ??Chris
