Overview

Hassle-free surf trip in the world’s most wave-rich country.

Bali is the surfing capital of Indonesia and we base ourselves in charming and increasingly quirky Canggu, on the West Coast. We make the most of our time surfing the numerous breaks on our doorstep, practising yoga on the roof terrace and winding down in the beachfront warungs and bars. By joining the Indonesia surf camp you'll experience the incredible combination of unparalleled surfing and the hospitatlity of Indonesian culture, in a unique and hassle-free way.

What to Expect

Expect to discover a rich culture, climb a volcano and delicious food in between unlocking your surfing potential. An island paradise awaits.

Your experienced surf guides will help you to take your surfing to the next level, and with their outstanding local knowledge you'll score the best waves day in, day out. Two weeks in this tropical paradise will be the perfect break from the stresses of daily life and see your surfing reach an all-time high.

While surfing every day might be just the ticket for some, the Trip Leaders will always add in plenty of down time to give bodies the chance to rest and recuperate. Relax by doing some yoga, swim in the pool, dine out in the local restaurants or simply put your feet up and read a book. We will also explore the island, hiking up the volcano, visiting the monkey temples of Uluwatu and head to the mountains for some white water river rafting!

Not reccommended. Bottled water is cheap and easily available.

This trip is best suited to surfers with some experience, not total beginners. Whether you’re just starting to consistently surf green waves, or looking to land your first air, our coaching team will be ready for you. The entry level for this trip requires you to have confidence and knowledge in the water, and be confident in the basic skills in surfing.

These islands tend to be low to no risk areas of Indonesia. However, we recommend checking the latest government advice on Fit For Travel and consulting your GP before you leave.

It all depends on how much you want to spend. For example, a Nasi Goreng at a local warung will cost 25,000IDR (£1.25) and a beer is 25,000IDR (£1.25), yet a fillet steak and a cocktail at a fancy place in Canggu will cost around 250,000 (£12.50). It all depends on your budget, but we tend to eat frugally most of the time.

Yes you do.

Indonesian immigration issues a holiday visa on arrival to the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and USA.

You'll need to get a 30 day visa which are free upon arrival.

If you are staying longer (i.e. this 6-week trip) then we reccommend that you apply for an extended visa beforehand at home. Otherwise you can purchase the extended visa in Bali for around £30-£50. You will then have to jump through hoops for a while, so we'd recommend you organise a 60-day visa in advance of the trip.

Visas are only issued on the grounds that you have proof of return/onward travel out of Indonesia. You may also be asked to show proof of funds (often about £1,500), so it's always worth bringing a valid credit card for this purpose. You will also need £10 (approx 150,000 IDR) cash to pay your departure tax when leaving Indonesia – it's often included in most tickets nowadays but it does depend on the airline you fly with.
