Overview

Explore two islands and score word class, perfect waves...

The 2-week island hopping adventure in Indo really is all about the adventure! After just one night in Canggu, you will head over to Lombok and head out on the boats to one of the various line-ups. This is the theme, every spot is accessed by boat, jumping straight into it.

This trip is aimed at surfers who are looking to take their skills to the next level with focused coaching in tropical waves.

What to Expect

Experience some of the most exciting surfing in magnificent but yet unspoilt waters of Lombok. While the sleepy little island of Nusa Lembongan will capture your heart and test your surfing mettle with breaks like Playgrounds, Shipwrecks and Lacerations.

Two weeks of top coaching from your Trip Leaders will grow your confidence and your surfing will reflect this. As we're mostly out on boats, a lot of the coaching will be done from the water, but there will also be time back on land where photo and video analysis will come into play. All our surf instructors hold internationally recognised qualifications and are there to ensure overall progression, as well as your safety in the water.

Surfing ability

At Ticket to Ride we have ton of experience coaching different ability levels and are confident teaching anyone from a complete beginner to someone wanting to improve their barrel riding! This trip is best suited for those who can catch their own waves and are looking to improve their skills. If you are a more advanced surfer you will also enjoy the waves on offer!

Trip Timeline

Here you'll find a day by day breakdown of your course.

  • Welcome to Indo (Canggu, Bali)

On arrival in Denpasar airport you will be greeted by your Trip Leader and taken to the accommodation to settle in and meet the rest of the group. Get some rest as the following day we fly to Lombok!

  • Island Hop to Lombok

We will quickly wave goodbye to the Island of Bali and take a short-haul flight (about 45 minutes) over to the Island of Lombok. We will be based in the small fishing village of Gerupuk and will hit up early morning surfs, exploring the waves by boat. This week will really push your surfing to a new level and get you progressing steadily with support from our trip leaders, coaches, and local guides.

  • Next Stop: Nusa Lembongan

A fun ferry ride takes you to Nusa Lembongan island, where you'll consolidate all that you've learnt so far to take on some of the most beautiful waves in the World. The waves are tidal, so we surf when the waves are good, but also get to enjoy some great down time. Chill by the pool, go and get a massage, and explore the island. Here you will go on a snorkelling trip to hopefully see manta rays!

  • Farewell! (Canggu, Bali)

After a solid two weeks of surf, eat, surf, eat, surf, eat, sleep repeat, we get a short ferry back to Canggu for a final night. On the last day it's time to head to the airport, tanned, surfed out and stoked.

There are loads of different types of waves to suit everyone's needs, so don't fret!

Our Indonesian adventures are aimed at individuals who are looking to extend their surfing knowledge. Our coaches are more than qualified to teach total beginners to competition level surfers. This 2 Week Island Hopping trip is best suited to those with some surf experience, ideally catching their own unbroken waves.

Speak to our Trip Experts before booking to ensure you’re on the best trip for you.

These islands are low to no risk areas of Indonesia. However, we recommend checking the latest government advice on Health Pro and consulting your GP before you leave.

Living in Indonesia is nice and cheap but it's difficult to give an exact figure as this varies from individual to individual. A budget of £100 per week is likely to be more than adequate but if you're a bit of a big spender then you many need to budget for more.

Yes you do. For many countries Indonesia is now doing a Visa on Arrival system. If your trip is longer than 30 days you will need to extend your visa. The free Visa on Arrival (VOA) cannot be extended, but you can pay for the extendable version at the airport. This can be extended for a further 30 days, so you can remain in Indonesia for 60 days total.

Visas are only issued on the grounds that you have proof of return/onward travel out of Indonesia. You may also be asked to show proof of funds (often about £1,500), so it's always worth bringing a valid credit card for this purpose.

Important: Please check with your own country’s embassy/advice to confirm your travel requirements as this varies from country to country.
