Trip Timeline

Here you'll find a day by day breakdown of your course.

  • Arrivals Day

You will be greeted at the airport and taken to the Ticket to Ride Surf House in Ahangama, where you'll meet the team and get settled into your room before having a welcome drink on the roof-top bar watching the sunset and your first Sri Lankan curry for dinner.

  • Surf, Surf, Surf

Your surf course starts bright and early at 06:00am, when you'll have a coffee and fruit whilst discussing your aims with your coach, then hit the waves! You will surf for around 2 hours, then have a hearty breakfast, followed by surf theory or video analysis and a surf specific stretching class. You will then have a few hours off for lunch and rest before hitting the waves again at 4pm, followed by a sunset drink and dinner at 7pm.

This beautiful routine repeats throughout the week, except for on Wednesday which is a rest day where we can arrange a local excursion visiting the tea plantation, temples, Galle Fort, or you can book a massage and chill :)

  • Travel To Kalpitya

After the Friday night BBQ and boogie, you'll welcome a travel day as we will take the 6 hour journey to Kalpitya through the hottest part of the day in a private AC bus, getting to Villa Sethawadi in time to jump in the pool, meet the team, have a sunset drink and dinner over-looking the lagoon.

  • Kite, Kite, Kite

The next week will be spent learning to kite surf, or honing your kite surfing skills with Matt and his team on the beautiful Kalpitya Lagoon, relaxing in the pool and cycling around the local area. We take Wednesday off for rest again and can arrange an excursion to Willpattu National Park where if you're lucky you'll spot a fluffy leopard (they are fluffy because the climate is different in this park compared to the others).

  • Departure Day :(

After two weeks of boarding bliss in Paradise it's time to head back to the airport and a member of our team will make sure you get there in time for your flight, totally stoked and surfed-out!
